Dad,

Not a day goes by that I do not think about you and how much I wish you were here.  I know if you had had a choice in the matter there is no place you would rather be.  I know you would not agree with every decision made since you left this place, but I think overall you know that you prepared us well for what we have been faced with and damn it, we turned out pretty alright.

I also know you had a lot more to give to us all, the advice, the lessons, and the ass chewings. All of combined to make sure that we were the best we could be.  I know I personally need to slow down and focus on the things that are most important.

There is a long road ahead without you around.  I keep you as close as I possibly can without you being here.  In my memories and in my heart, you will always be with me.
