Grand Canyon

There is not a specific or comical story with this post, I just wanted to share it because it is one of those prime examples of how my dad was and the one we all had together.  While out in Las Vegas for Josh’s 21st, we all got a limo down to the airport to Sundance Helicopters – if you can afford to do it when you are there, I highly recommend.

When we got to the airport, we had to wait a little bit for everything to get prepared for the trip because they pack little snacks and champagne for when we land in the bottom of the canyon.  When we finally boarded the chopper, I sat in front on the way there so I could get pictures but also because I was interested in all that was going on to fly the chopper.  Dad also sat in front, because hey, he made it happen in the first place and he should get the best seat or the biggest piece of chicken.

The flight over there takes about an hour, we spent about an hour in the canyon, and then the flight back.  We got some great pictures below as you can see, but more importantly, we had such a great time on that trip.  It was very special to me and I am so glad we got to do it.  It just sucks he is no longer around because I know he and the rest of us had a lot more trips like this in us and now it will never be the same without him there.
